Absence Of

In Poetry on September 5, 2011 at 6:41 am

Beauty, harmony, goodness—it is the absence of.

It is the absence of darkness, grey and overcast skies, unmanicured lawns, blemishes, frizzies, jarring noises, anger, fetid stenches, garbage, bugs, frowns, cruelty.

It is the absence of judgment.

Beauty, harmony, goodness—it is the presence of Jesus.
